New Book
About the Authors:
Francesco Sedita studied writing at the Gallatin School of New York University. While at Gallatin, he was a Writing Fellow for Saturday Night Live and upon graduation he wrote and directed a show that ran Off-Off-Broadway for 5 years. Miss Popularity is his first book, published by Scholastic in 2007. Francesco is the Creative Director at Scholastic. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
Prescott Seraydarian loves stories, always has. As a kid, Prescott wrote endless enchanted stories about himself, his entire neighborhood, and occasionally basketball courts that came alive! That led to telling stories as a grown-up with amazing partners like Disney, Penguin, NBC, and Netflix through my award-wining film company Lunch Productions. Now he has the best job of all as a film teacher at George School, a Quaker boarding school in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Every day he gets to teach students (just a little older than the Pathfinders!) skills to share their own stories. He lives at the school with his wife, daughters, and proud pup Asher.
About the Illustrator:
Steve Hamaker is the Eisner Award winning colorist of Bone, RASL, and Table Titans. In 2005 he self published his first graphic novel, Fish N Chips and has contributed several original stories to the Flight and Explorer anthologies. Other coloring work includes: Terry Moore’s SIP Kids (2014-15), Shazam: Monster Society of Evil (2009), and Coldplay’s Mylo Xyloto comic series (2012-13). Steve lives in Columbus Ohio with his wife and son.
The Curse of the Crystal Cavern by Francesco Sedita & Prescott Seraydarian Reviews:
“Sedita and Seraydarian’s plot packs a ton of humor, mystery, and action to enthrall fans of fantastical fun adventures. Hamaker’s artwork, meanwhile, offers just the right amount of zany energy in its paneling and its eye-catching use of colors and secondary details. Marvelously clever and cool.”—Kirkus Reviews
“Readers will happily suspend their disbelief as they become immersed in the story and will find themselves almost breathless from the nonstop action. Detailed, colorful, and expressive art works well with the text to depict a tale full of thrills and danger, as well as bravery and humor. This wild adventure is pure fun at a breakneck pace.”—School Library Journal
