Dr. McMillan has also published Research in Education: Evidence-Based Inquiry; Understanding and Evaluating Educational Research, Sage Handbook of Research on Classroom Assessment, Assessment Essentials for Standards-Based Education, and Classroom Assessment: Principles and Practice for Effective Standards-Based Instruction in addition to more than sixty journal articles. His current research interests include classroom assessment, grading, student motivation, and the impact of high-stakes testing on schools and students.
