John-Manuel Andriote is an author, journalist, speaker, and content marketing writer. Andriote has focused on health, LGBTQ issues, and popular culture for more than three decades. In 2014, he also added “children’s author” to his résumé with the publication of Wilhelmina Goes Wandering, based on the true story of a runaway cow in Connecticut. Andriote began to focus his reporting on the growing HIV-AIDS pandemic while working on a master’s degree in journalism at Northwestern University in 1986. He expanded the scope of his reporting to include other chronic illnesses, writing for national publications that have ranged from The Atlantic to The Washington Post.
